The DG 1110-3-106 governs design of U.S. Army Service Schools. The Army training program is contained in AR 350-1. Service schools support the general academic, technical and vocational education of military personnel of all grades and ranks.

The DG 1110-3-106 states basic planning and design considerations, criteria, and space organization principles, and illustrates how the guidance can be applied to respond to different requirements. This guide is applicable to all new construction projects for Army Service Schools and projects involving modernization of existing facilities.
